AUTOMATICA.IT 2023

AUTOMATICA.IT 2023 workshop gathers together Professors and Researchers from Italian Universities and Research Institutions to share recent advancements and applications in all areas of Control Systems.
The workshop will be held in Catania at Monastero dei Benedettini on September 6-7-8, 2023.
Research groups are invited to encourage and support the active participation of young researchers, post-docs, and Ph.D. students.

PAPER SUBMISSION

The submission of contributions can be made through EasyChair. During the submission select one of the following topics:
  • Analysis, identification and control;
  • Robotics and automotive;
  • Networked systems;
  • Applications in control engineering.
The opening and closing dates for submitting contributions are set respectively to June 1st, 2023 (opening date) and July 8th, 2023 (closing date). Contributions consist of an extended abstract of at most 2 pages (free format), including figures and references. English will be the language for extendend abstracts and slides presentations.

Contributions can be either original or published works, as well as concise reports of research lines developed in recent years accessible to the whole community. Submissions could also be devoted to summarizing the results of recently concluded or ongoing research projects or illustrating specific experimental applications of theoretical results.
A Programme Committee will assess the quality of the submissions based on their scientific value. Details can be asked to automatica2023@unict.it

DAUSY POSTERS
Participants to the PhD poster session of the National PhD Program in Autonomous Systems (DAUSY) are in charge of printing and transporting their poster at the conference. The poster will be displayed on a traditional poster board. The organizers will provide the participants with the material to attach the poster to the board.
The poster must be portrait in vertical orientation and no larger than A0 format: 118.9cm (height) x 84.1cm (width).

AWARDS
As usual, SIDRA will assign an award to the two best contributions presented at the workshop. Contributions will be evaluated by the Award Committee based on their theoretical and application value, as well as the quality of the presentation.

The awards are sponsored by STMicroelectronics Catania.

The venue of the conference is Monastero dei Benedettini, Catania, Piazza Dante Alighieri 32.




The social dinner will take place on September 7th at the historical palace "Palazzo Biscari".

TRAVEL
From Vincenzo Bellini Fontanarossa airport to City Center
Public transportation: The "Alibus" bus service connects the airport, the train station, and the heart of the city on a regular basis (about every 20 minutes). You can take a bus or the tube from there. Those taking the subway to the city center should get off at the "Stesicoro" station.
Taxi: Depending on schedules and traffic, the cost of a trip could be ranging from 25 to 30 euros.

From City Center to Monastero dei Benedettini
The Monastero dei Benedettini can be reached from Piazza Stesicoro by foot or by bus.
By foot: Around 12 minutes are required.
By bus: At the Etnea Minoriti bus stop, the bus 504AM operates every 30 minutes and travels for 5 minutes.

ACCOMODATION
Several hotels and b&b can be found within walking distance, ranging from luxury to standard accommodation.
